Inaugural Message from the Publisher

Longform Letter is by Brandeis students, for Brandeis students.

Decisions are made by those who show up

Hi, nice to meet you. I'll be blunt: the incumbent media giants at Brandeis (The Justice, The Hoot) produce a lot of fluff. Both outlets are lacking in rigor and editorial direction. Even in my first semester, many investigation-worthy events occurred in the Brandeis community, and these outlets simply did not cover them with any curiosity. After Brandeis duped students with its underhanded financial aid changes, both outlets produced fluffy PR releases disguised as front-page news articles. I then decided something had to be done, so I founded Longform Letter.

Longform Letter will cover any story affecting Brandeis students, and, under my leadership, these issues will be approached with journalistic rigor and a commitment to traversing the mountains of deceit and walls of deception fortified by the administration.

Have a tip? Drop us a line.

This operation is entirely independent of the University and is funded out of my own pocket. I also single-handedly maintain the infrastructure including the servers, website, etc.

Open Positions

While these positions are unpaid, similar to The Justice and The Hoot, we offer free email addresses (i.e., [email protected]), branded sweatshirts, and business cards.
